Where It All Began

It was in Patti Italy where my grandparents came to Ellis Island a ship called the Ancona. They were young and hard working. They had I think 1 child in Italy and 5 others here. Here is a photo of the family back then before my father was born. The next photo is with my dad the littlest one sitting on the chair.

August 17. 1943 Mt mother and fathers wedding day. Mom was 18 and dad was 17.

My father and his brother were in th marines together. They were off to Iwo Jima.

I was born on April 14, 1947 the first of 5
